OUR PILLARS IN ACTION

At The P.U.P.A Project, we transform lives by focusing on four core areas that guide every product we deliver, every lesson we teach, and every partnership we build.

ACCESS & AID

WHAT IT MEANS: We ensure menstruators have the essentials they need freely, urgently, and without stigma or shame.

PROGRAMS WE OFFER:

  • The CoCoon Corner – a welcoming physical location where we offer menstrual products, hygiene items, and educational resources

  • Transition Towers – stocked cabinets with free menstrual products placed in schools and community spaces

  • Caterpillar Cuties – providing free, well-fitted sports bras for student athletes

EDUCATION & AWARENESS

WHAT IT MEANS: We break the silence around periods by equipping youth and families with honest, age-appropriate education.

PROGRAMS WE OFFER:

  • Girl, Let’s Talk About Periods – empowering in-school and summer camp sessions that teach girls about puberty, periods, and body literacy in fun and affirming ways

  • Periods & Pops – interactive workshops and safe spaces for fathers, brothers, mentors, and male caregivers to learn about menstrual health and how to be supportive allies

ADVOCACY & POLICY

WHAT IT MEANS: We challenge systemic barriers to menstrual equity by advocating for policy change, building community coalitions, and amplifying the voices of menstruators.

PROGRAMS WE OFFER:

  • Empower Your Cycle – a policy-focused initiative equipping youth and community members with the tools to advocate for menstrual equity in their schools, cities, and state

  • Menstrual Equity Forums – community roundtables and public conversations designed to uplift lived experiences and inform lawmakers

  • School & Policy Engagements – direct support and consultation with school districts and public institutions to adopt inclusive menstrual health policies

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

WHAT IT MEANS: We build trust through consistent, relationship-driven outreach and by meeting people where they are, literally and figuratively.

PROGRAMS WE OFFER:

  • The CoCoon Crew – our volunteer team, trained to support events, distribute products, and lead local outreach efforts

  • CoCoon Check-Ins – mobile outreach efforts offering period supplies, hygiene kits, and educational resources in underserved areas

  • Seasonal Giving Campaigns – holiday and back-to-school drives like the Back to Flow Bash: Hygiene Giveaway for Back to School  and Nourish the Need: Dry Food Giveaway, designed to support menstruators and their families year-round
